NDGIT supports BAWAG Group in providing direct developer portals for PSD2 third-party service providers

Vienna/Munich, 28 March 2019

NDGIT enables seamless delivery with PSD2 API platform and solutions

BAWAG Group provides direct access to third-party service providers (TPPs), under European PSD2 regulation, supporting them with a rich developer portal, test environment and sandbox interfaces powered by NDGIT.

Using NDGIT’s API platform and specialists, BAWAG can deliver PSD2 APIs for TPPs in Austria since March 14th. A dedicated ‘sandbox’ (virtual space to test and run coding securely) gives them a testing entry to BAWAG’s API functionality, in accordance with PSD2. This can be accessed via the following link: https://developer.bawaggroup.com

“We cooperate with FinTechs on a wide variety of sections of the value chain. With NDGIT we felt well prepared for the implementation of the PSD2 requirements. This enabled us to provide the developer portal including the sandbox environment for third party providers timely. We are looking forward to developing additional services from which customers can benefit”, explains Marcus Kapun, Head of Digital & Data Office at BAWAG P.S.K.

Beginning with test phase, TPPs can access the interfaces of more than 3,000 banks across the EU since mid-March. BAWAG supports the Berlin Group’s NextGenPSD2 pan-European standardization initiative. Like many other banks, it relies on secure authentication with a decoupled and redirect approach (OTP) offering Account Information Services (AIS), and Payment Initiation Services (PIS) with SEPA and Cross Border.

The NDGIT platform ensures full PSD2 compliance. Its PSD2 standard software is used by more than twenty banks throughout Europe and includes all the services and functions required for PSD2 implementation. Using technologies such as REST (Representational State Transfer), SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and OAuth2 (Open Authorization), the solution can be easily integrated into the backend systems of the banks.
